Farmingdale (New York)

Farmingdale is a village in New York. Officially, it is part of Oyster Bay, but this town with just over 8,000 inhabitants is a place of its own.

1 Farmingdale is a station on the Ronkonkoma Line of the Long Island Rail Road, which connects Ronkonkoma with New York City.

The main roads in and out of here are the New York State routes 24 (Conklin Street), 109 (Fulton Street), and 110 (Broad Hollow Road).

By bus

Nassau Inter-County Express operates a number of bus connections to Farmingdale.

By plane

The nearest airport is Republic Airport, which is literally just a few miles east of the village.

The museum has several historical military aircraft from the 1930s through the 1960s, and also two tanks and a machine gun. It is also possible for a membership donation of $320 to have a simulated experience of being involved in the D-Day landing in Normandy, as you are briefed as if you are about to take part in the mission and then flown on a C-47 that participated in the actual operation.
