Anerdam Wildlife Sanctuary is on southwestern range of the Satpura range of Dhule District. It shares boundaries with Yawal sanctuary and other sanctuaries in Madhya Pradesh. The sanctuary was once very rich in wildlife; now it is trying to regain its previous status. The best time to visit the sanctuary is November to February.

Flora and fauna

Common animals found in this area are the barking deer, chikaras, hares, porcupines and jungle cats. The monitor lizard is the common reptile in this sanctuary. Migrant animals in the area include hyenas, jackals, wolves and wild boars. There are also birds that can be found in the park, like leafs, quails, partridges, egrets, herons, cormorants, corts, spot bills, and owls. Brahminy ducks, cranes, stokes and waders are the migratory birds that live in the sanctuary.
