Brazilian municipality in the state of Ceará
Aquiraz is a coastal city in the Brazilian state of Ceará. The larger Aquiraz municipality is a popular holiday and day trip destination as it has some good beaches. The city itself is almost 30km from Fortaleza and home to just over 70,000 people. It was the capital of Ceará, until that function was taken over by Fortaleza in 1726.

Iguape and Prainha are smaller but popular too, also for daytrippers from the nearby state capital; Fortaleza.
