Aydıncık is a small town (population: about 7,000) in southern part of Cilician Mountains, Mediterranean Turkey. Its former name was Gilindire, which comes from the name of the Roman city modern town of Aydıncık replaced: Kelenderis.

editThere is a very nice open-air tea garden next to the little wharf. It is like an oasis with its shading trees in the peak of summer heat. A (small) glass of tea costs 0.25 TL and a cup of tea costs 0.50 TL there.
