Azare is a town and seat of the Katagum traditional emirate, Bauchi state, northeastern Nigeria. It is located in the northern extension of Bauchi state. Majority of the people are either the Hausa, Fulani, and Kanuri ethnic groups, who are predominantly Muslim.
