By bus

From Switzerland, Balzers can be reached by bus from Sargans in about 15 min. Höfle is a nice bus stop to start your walk from.

By train

The closest train station is across the (open) border in the Swiss village of Trübbach just across the Rhine.

The castle in Balzers.

• 1 Gutenberg Castle (Burg Gutenberg). A well-preserved castle built around 1100. A fine courtyard and an attractive little chapel.  
• 2 Jubiläumskirche (Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus). A Romanesque Revival church built in 1908-1912 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the reign of prince Johann II. The interior is rather plain, but the exterior is beautiful.
