Get in

edit

Bang Rak is close to Ko Samui International Airport. In addition, Bang Rak is home to Bang Rak Pier, commonly known as Big Buddha Pier. Ferries depart from here to Ko Pha-ngan, Ko Tao and Surat Thani. As such, Bang Rak makes a convenient stop-over if transiting between the airport and ferries.

Bang Rak is not one of Samui's better beaches for beach activities like swimming or sunbathing. It is a very busy place as ferries depart from near here to Ko Pha Ngan and Bang Rak lies under the airport flight path.
