Get around

By intercity-taxi

edit

Intercity-taxi (Taksi antarkota) with orange color serve route Banjarmasin-Martapura via Banjarbaru, and vice versa. You can hail and stop it anywhere along the routes, just raise your hand and they will stop. When you're inside and want to stop, just say kiri (key-ree) or simply 'stop' out loud. The fare is based on how far you travel. Usually taksi antarkota drivers don't speak English.

Drink

edit
  • Since Islam is the religion of the majority of South Kalimantan, alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, spirits) are not widely available. But fruit juices are available pretty much everywhere.
  • Bottled water is recommended, but if you can't find one, boil your own water.
