It is home to Northeast Community College, and the campus is spread throughout the town. It is located primarily on the east side of the town, and most of the older buildings (such as the old Prentiss Manufacturing Company buildings, now two flea markets and a tile store) sit here. This is also where the several good residential areas are located in the town.

The town can usually be accessed right off of the first exit after the final Corinth exit, going south. If you go towards the stoplight (east), you will come to the east side of town, to a four way intersection. The next major town, Tupelo, is down the highway. As long as you don't make any turns, you should arrive there after roughly 40 minutes of driving.
