You can also reach the town by using the C620 from Nowa Nowa.

Get around

edit

Tambo is not built to face the Tambo River, but rather a central nature strip between the service road and the highway. This is quite pretty park, with gardens and visitor information boards.

  • Tambo River. You can walk over the highway bridge or the rail trail bridge over the river. The Tambo is not navigable to this point, but you can cool off a little in it.
  • Berry farm. Around 3km from town on the Omeo road, there is a berry farm, selling raspberries, blackberries and boysenberries for around $4 a punnet. Season Dec-Feb.

There is a choice of two take-away style eateries.

  • Le Cafe
  • 1 Bruthen Bakery, 62 Main St, +61 475 555 419. Good for pies, sausage rolls, pastries and cakes.

Drink

edit
