Colombian municipality of the department of Valle del Cauca
Buga (full name: Guadalajara de Buga) is an old colonial town (founded 1535) in Valle del Cauca, Colombia.

editThere are regular buses from Cali (about an hour). Buga is also easily accessible from Buenaventura and Armenia.
From the bus station, it is walking distance to the center. There are also colectivos (COP$1400).

editIt is easy to get places on foot.
See
editBuga has a nice historic central plaza with lots of shade trees, home to many iguanas. It's a nice place to eat an ice cream and people watch on hot days (every day).
- Basilica del Señor de los Milagros. A famous church that attracts pilgrims.
- Lighthouse. Buga's location 120 km (70 mi) inland didn't stop them from building a lighthouse here.
