Bururi Forest National Reserve is a protected area located in southwestern Burundi, covering an expanse of 3,300 hectares (33 km²) of altitude damp forest. Established in 1951 and classified as a wilderness area (IUCN protected area category Ib), it is managed by the Institut National pour l’Environnement et la Conservation de la Nature (INECN). The reserve is a crucial site for biodiversity, featuring a rich variety of flora and fauna.
