  • 1 Gaomei Wetlands (Take bus 309 from Taichung (NT$35), or bus 178 or 688 from Qingshui train station, in case you are not coming from Taichung. 309 stops along the road before the carpark, but goes further to the wind turbines and breakwater with lighthouse. Bus 688 stops at the carpark, from where it is about 500 m north to the wetland.), +886 988628601, . A quite famous scenic park at the sea near Taichung. It should be visited when it is low tide. Otherwise, the wetlands remains hidden under the water surface. But if you really cannot go then, there is still 2 a breakwater to see and lighthouse to climb (if you are keen), an architectural interesting pedestrian bridge near the carpark, as well as row of wind turbines. The wooden walkway over the wetland was closed as of Nov. 2017 (for renovation?), making it a little less interesting. However, the sea and scenery are worth the trip. • 3 Container "Mountain". If you are going to the Gaomei Wetlands, take a stop at this surreal place where dozens of containers are stacked up and offer an interesting photo opportunity.

This region travel guide to Central Taiwan is an outline and may need more content. It has a template, but there is not enough information present. If there are Cities and Other destinations listed, they may not all be at usable status or there may not be a valid regional structure and a "Get in" section describing all of the typical ways to get here. Please plunge forward and help it grow!
