The pond has been used as a source of water for agricultural use as well as for drinking water. Even though it is small in size, about 200 meters long and 8 meters deep, the pond has never dried up from any drought. 150-year-old willow trees are rooted in the pond, which makes a fantastic balance with the surroundings, creating a picturesque scenery found nowhere else.
