  • Birdwatching. Chintheche is a great place for birdwatching. The areas on the lake, beachside, are popular for early morning viewing.





  • 1 Chintheche Inn, Bandawe, +265 1 771 393. Located on the beach at Lake Malawi. All rooms are on the beach and overlook the lake. It's all inclusive, so food is included in your stay. It's decorated with local crafts and masks, rooms are colored with bright shades. There is a pool, bar, restaurant, and activities like kayaking and snorkeling. Room rates are per person. It's owned by the Wilderness Safari company. $167.
