Vidalia is a city in and the parish seat of Concordia Parish, Louisiana. It is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, across from Natchez, Mississippi.

edit- 1 Tacony Plantation, west of town off US Hwy 84/425, ☏ +1 318 336-7008. Open by appointment only. The last remaining brick antebellum house in Vidalia, built around 1845 as an overseer's house. Originally owned by Alfred Vidal Davis, Sr., one of the wealthiest planters in the state in the mid-19th century. John R. Lynch, Mississippi's first black congressman, was born into slavery on the plantation in 1847.
- 2 Delta Music Museum & Arcade Theatre, 218 Louisiana Ave, Ferriday (about 10 mi northwest of Vidalia), ☏ +1 318-757-4297. W-F 9AM-4PM. A good place for learning about all the Blues and other regional music favorites, and artists like Jerry Lee Lewis who hailed from Ferriday, both him and Jimmy Swaggart.
- 3 Frogmore Cotton Plantation & Gins, 11656 US-84, Ferriday (about 17 mi northwest of Vidalia, via Hwys 425 and 84), ☏ +1 318-757-2453, frogmore@bayou.com. M-F 9AM-1PM. This plantation is a good representation of what the antebellum cotton plantations were like in appearance.
