Fairs
edit- Salmon Fair (Capenastur) Coinciding every year with the opening of the salmon fishing season. The fair is held to coincide with the opening of the salmon fishing season, during which, if the necessary conditions permit, the "Campanu" of Asturias is auctioned. For these purposes, the Campanu of Asturias is considered to be the first salmon validly sealed in the established official centres, as has been considered in the other editions of the fair. The term "Campanu" was coined in Cornellana, when the town's residents saw the first salmon swimming up the waters of the Narcea River, and they informed the monks of the Cornellana Monastery, who would ring the bells to inform the entire region of the event, since the arrival of this fish brought abundant benefits.
