Archaeological site in Peru

Cutimbo is a tiny settlement some 30 km from Puno, in the Peruvian Altiplano, mostly visited on a short daytrip. Although the ruins at Sillustani are greater in most aspects, they also get loads of visitors. Come to Cutimbo, and you could spend hours, all by yourself.

Get inEdit

Vans depart from Puno as soon as they fill up, usually every 20-30 minutes. Cost S/2.5 (November 2018).

Get aroundEdit

  • Walk up the hill (about 30 minutes) for the ruins and amazing views of the surroundings. Stop by the rather modest cave paintings on your way up. Entry fee S/15 - adult, S/5 - student, S/2. - children. (Updated November 2018)

There is no visible commerce around.

You can probably camp here.
