Dayton is a city in the Palouse region of eastern Washington. It is the county seat of Columbia County.

  • Dayton Historical Depot, 222 E. Commercial St, +1 509 382-2026. May-Oct: Tu-Thu 11-17h, Fri-Sat 10-17h, closed Sun, Mon, holidays; Nov-April: Tue-Sat 11-16h, closed Sun, Mon, holidays. Built in 1881, it is the oldest surviving train depot in the state. $3/adult, children 12 and under are free.
  • 1 Lewis and Clark Trail State Park, 36149 Highway 12 (7 miles southwest of Dayton, at Highway 12 & Timpley Road). A 37-acre camping park.
