Delta is the crossroads for two major US route: Route 6 (from Ely, Nevada, from the west and from Santaquin, Utah, from the east), and Route 50 (from Ely, Nevada, from the west, and Green River, Utah, from the east).

  • 1 Delta Municipal Airport (DTA IATA), 2500 US 6 (Drive north on US 6 for 4.5 miles (7.3 km).), +1 435-864-2759. The Delta airport is a general aviation field. The nearest commercial flights available are in Salt Lake City.

  • 1 Little Sahara Recreation Area, 27020 W Sand Mountain Rd, Eureka (Take US 6 north for about 39 miles (62.7 km), then follow the signs to the "Sand Dunes."), +1 435-433-5960, . The Little Sahara Recreation Area has many activities available, including camping (for both tents and RVs), off-highway vehicle recreation, hiking, biking, horseback riding and wildlife study. Be sure to bring lots of water and have enough fuel for your return trip if you place to explore the west desert. $18/vehicle/night, $120 Annual Pass, $60 for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities.
