  • 1 Clement Railroad Hotel Museum (Hotel Halbrook State Historic Site), 100 Frank Clement Pl, +1 615 446-0500. Historic railroad hotel with a museum and local history programming. On the National Register of Historic places. $2-4.

  • 1 Montgomery Bell State Park, 1020 Jackson Hill Rd (about 6 miles east of Dickson on US 70), +1 615-797-9052. 7am-5pm. A 3850 acre park with swimming and boating on Lake Acorn, a replica of a church/log cabin where the Cumberland Presbyterian Church originated, a golf course, and a lodge and restaurant. Prior to becoming a park, the area was once rich in iron production and is named after the owner. He became impressively rich and decided to emancipate many of his slaves and put them on ships to Liberia. For trivia lovers, Ernest Goes To Camp was filmed here.  
  • 2 GreyStone Golf Club, 2555 Highway 70 E., +1 615 446-0044. 7am-5pm. Home of the Men and Women State Open Championship $35-$55.
  • 3 Renaissance Center, 855 Highway 46 South., +1 615 740-5600. Various activities such as laser light shows with music, dinner theater shows and an art museum. The museum is free. Light shows are usually $6.00, while a dinner theater show is roughly $35.00. The Renaissance Center also acts as a campus for two colleges: Austin Peay State University and Nashville State Community College.
