East High Country

The East High Country is a sub-region of Georgia's Historic High Country region. The East region of the Georgia Historic High Country shares a border with South Carolina, the Metro Atlanta area, and Classic Heartland of Georgia. Athens and Clemson are notable college towns that are near this area.

• 1 Fort Yargo State Park. Features 20.5 miles of trails for hikers and mountain bikers. The park's 260-acre lake offers a large swimming beach, fishing and boat ramps. There is also a disc golf course 
• 2 Richard B. Russell State Park. State park located on the shores of Richard B. Russell Lake. Features a disc golf course and 6 miles of trails.
