edit- 1 Citadel of Farah (ارگ فراه). Historic citadel that has been in use for at least 2,500 years. The citadels' origins are disputed, some claim that i was built by Alexander the Great on his way to Kandahar while other argue it was built by Zoroastrian warriors in the time of Darius the Great (reigned 522-42 BC). Centuries of renovations and additions to the citadels adds confusion to its real age.
