Summary
DescriptionAriston Cafe (7166680623).jpg
The Ariston Cafe in Litchfield (1935). It was built in 1935 for Pete Adam and Tom Cokinos, who were both experienced in the restaurant business. The original Ariston Cafe was in Carlinville, but was moved here in 1935 based on speculation of heavy traffic on the newly-constructed Route 66. Today, it is the longest-operating restaurant on Route 66, and a must-stop for anyone traversing the Mother Road.
