Summary
DescriptionChristmas Island Nat Park banner.jpg |
English: Christmas Island National Park. Christmas Island is home to 40-50 million of these large red land crabs which famously annually migrate together down to the coast to spawn in a spectacularly synchronised event, and one of the largest migrations in the animal kingdom. This causes road closures etc, however the owners of Swell Lodge have developed a crab-safe vehicle attachment that allows vehicles to drive through without hurting the crabs.
