Summary
DescriptionDean Village - geograph.org.uk - 680403.jpg
English: Dean Village Former industrial area, using the fast flowing Water of Leith. New Town houses can be seen high above the river.
The Water of Leith is now celebrated as a real hill river in the city centre, complete with the usual wildlife seen out in unpolluted rural rivers: Kingfishers, Dippers, Grey Wagtails are frequently seen here, and otters have returned.
