Summary

Description
English: Embarkation forwards and in reverse This seemingly bizarre scene has a simple explanation. At Oban, vehicles embark by the bows, and drive through to disembark at Coll or Tiree by the stern. And vice versa.

The fun starts with vehicles which are making the inter-island crossing between Coll and Tiree or vice versa. They must both embark and disembark via the stern which explains why they are reversing on board.

One thing I didn't work out is what happens to vehicles taken on board at Coll bound for Oban if the ship was calling first at Tiree. The Oban-bound vehicles would be facing the opposite direction to everyone else, and blocking their way off. No doubt, the deck crew had this one sorted.
