Summary
DescriptionHead, Hillsborough Fort (1) - geograph.org.uk - 1251735.jpg
English: Head, Hillsborough Fort (1). Hillsborough Fort 249909 is decorated with numerous heads. Some are possibly contemporary (at the time of building), some are mediaeval in appearance. Some seem to have human characteristics and some are grotesque. The architectural guides don't mention them and the web is similarly silent. Anyone who has any definite information is more than welcome to contact me. References to "left" and "right" refer to the direction of view. This one is on the south eastern side, on the ground floor, to the left of the door. Continue to 1251784.
