Description

Durante viagem oficial a Jaguarão (RS), no #DiálogoDaFronteira, o ministro da Cultura, Juca Ferreira, visitou as Ruínas da Enfermaria Militar. A edificação foi construída entre os anos de 1880 e 1883, no alto do Cerro da Pólvora.

Além da função de Enfermaria Militar, que atendia a oficias e praças da região, o prédio serviu como posto de vigia da fronteira nacional, por permitir a observação privilegiada do território vizinho, o Uruguai.
