Summary
DescriptionManisa Sultan Cami interior 6043.jpg
English: One of pictures of a complex (külliye), rather than a single mosque. The Sultan Camii, built in 1522, was founded by Ayşe Hafza Hatun (died 1534). Pictures show the son cemaat yeri, the columned gallery for latecomers to prayer, and the interior, with some tiles above windows.
In front of the mosque there is the medrese (in some cases I refer to "courtyard, the medrese surrounds it), a bit äway from the mosque and medrese are a hamam or bath house (1540) and a daruşsıfa (hospital, 1533), now housing a museum about health care. The names make clear where a picture was taken. When taking pictures lots of pupils paid a visit to the mosque, on some pictures they are in view.
