English: Lanehead Quarry Panoramic view of the north part of Lanehead Quarry extending from Stanhope Burn to the quarried Great Limestone face below Hog Hill. The quarry was worked from the later 19th century to around 1950. It would have supplied lime kilns as well as the blast furnaces at Consett. Transport from the quarry was provided by a system of inclines and railways.
