Summary
DescriptionVERDMONT - INTERIOR VIEW (cropped).jpg
English: HOUSE BUILT IN 1710; BY A SHIP OWNER NAMED JOHN DICKINSON; JOHN GREEN, A PHILADELPHIA LOYALIST, CUSTOMS OFFICIAL AND PAINTER, FLED PHILADELPHIA AT THE END OF THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR AND MARRIED ONE OF DICKINSON'S GRANDDAUGHTERS; PORTRAITS IN THE HOUSE ARE BY GREEN WHO ALSO SERVED AS JUDGE OF THE COURT OF THE VICE ADMIRALTY; PANELING IS OF BERMUDA CEDAR; FURNITURE IS COLLECTED FROM VARIOUS OLD HISTORIC HOMES ON BERMUDA; MOST FAMOUS OF ALL BERMUDA TRUST PROPERTIES
WIKIPEDIA DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE AN ARTICLE ON THIS HISTORIC SITE WHICH IS SURPRISING BECAUSE IT IS FAR AND AWAY THE FLAGSHIP OF THE BERMUDA NATIONAL TRUST. ALSO THESE PICTURES ARE NO LONGER OBTAINABLE BECAUSE ON MY SECOND VISIT THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW INDOOR PICTURES. I DO HAVE EXTERIOR PICTURES TO COME LATER
