DescriptionWashington Adams Russell House, Buffalo, New York, May 2013.jpg
English: Located at 2540 Main Street in the Vernon Triangle, the Washington Adams Russell House was built in 1841 and is one of the oldest extant buildings in North Buffalo. This old farmhouse, now a church, is a vestige of the days when Main Street was a major thoroughfare between Buffalo and the frontier villages to its north and east, such as Williamsville and Clarence. At the time of its construction, the house stood on 200 acres (81ha) of farmland abutting the Onondaga Escarpment; it remained in the hands of the Russell family until the 1960's.
