Seventy-five acre Frogner Park contains a lifetime of work by Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943), Norway’s greatest sculptor. He worked on site from 1924 to 1943 creating 192 bronze and granite statue groupings depicting the cycle of life from birth to death.
Vigeland also designed the Nobel Peace Prize medal.
