Considered to be a "green oasis" in the easternmost portions of Maharashtra, Nagzira hosts a number of migratory birds species, including 13 that are endangered. Notable mammals present at the sanctuary include the tiger and sloth bear.    
  • 2 Navegaon National Park, +91 7182 251 232. Another hotspot of diverse flora and fauna. It is a popular picnic place among the locals. The best time to visit is during the winter when a large number of birds flock to the lake in the national park.
