Grenville-sur-la-Rouge is a municipality with a varied profile (picturesque, modern, forested, tourism) on the north shore of the Ottawa River, in the regional county municipality of Argenteuil, in the administrative region of Laurentides, in Quebec, Canada.

Drained by the Red, Calumet and Outaouais rivers, this locality is a hotbed of resorts and recreational tourism activities in the foothills of the Laurentians. History

The name Grenville evokes the memory of George Grenville, a British politician. The toponymic designation of the municipality derives from the former township of Grenville, from one of the two previous municipalities amalgamated into the current municipality, as well as the name of the Red River which crosses the territory from north to south.

The municipality of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge's motto is "De coeur et de nature" (Heart and nature).

Grenville-sur-la-Rouge is located on the north shore of the Ottawa River, between Grenville Bay and the limits of the municipality of Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours.
