Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park

Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park (西表石垣国立公園) is a national park in the Yaeyama Islands of Okinawa.

Understand

History

• April 1972: founded as Iriomote Governmental Park by the Government of the Ryukyu Islands.
• May 1972: Okinawa was returned to Japan and the park became Iriomote National Park.
• 2007:Ishigaki added.

• 1 Kuroshima Visitor Center, Kuro-shima 1, Taketomi Town, ☏ +81 980-85-4149. 09:30–16:30 (closed Mondays). Free. (updated May 2022)
