editMeaty soup food is common in this area such as nasi gandul (rice with beef soup) in Pati, pindang serani (milkfish soup) in Jepara, and soto kerbau (water buffalo meat soup) in Kudus. In addition, there are some special satay dishes like sate srepeh (satay with red sauce, rice and tofu) in Rembang and sate Blora (satay served with coconut milk soup) in Blora.
