edit- 1 Cesar E. Chavez National Monument, 29700 Woodford-Tehachapi Rd, ☏ +1 661-823-6134. This 187-acre museum and memorial garden preserves the legacy of Cesar Chavez. The property was the headquarters of the United Farm Workers, and home to César Chávez from the early 1970s until his death in 1993; it includes his gravesite. It was declared a national monument in 2012.
- 2 Tehachapi Loop, Woodford-Tehachapi Rd, 5.5 miles west of Tehachapi. The Tehachapi Loop is a favorite of railroad fans around the world. It is one of the few places where a train can be seen passing over itself. The loop is an engineering feat that lowered the grade required for the railroad to climb over the pass between the High Desert and the Central Valley. A number of historical markers can be found overlooking the loop.
