- Bhitarakanika: Just 35 km from city centre, this is the 2nd largest wild life sanctuary of saltwater crocodiles. You can reach there by taxi or bus from Kendrapara town, also you can easily reach there from the other end of Bhadrak. There you can hire a boat to go inside to see the lot of big crocodiles. Also you can find some other rare wild animals.
- Hukitola: It is just 18 km from the city centre. Here you can find an excellent natural beauty. You need to hire a boat to go to the small island. There you find an old historic building built by British people to help navigate ships in the sea. The boat ride of 9 km from the place called Jambu through small river is enjoyable. You can see the river meeting point in the sea and the beautiful tide. The jungle on both sides of the river is full of cashew nut trees. One can find a lot of fish, crabs and other seafood items in this small town.
- Sri Baladevjew Temple: It is 5 km from the city centre, reachable by taxi or by Auto. A beautiful place of worship for Hindu people. There you can find a beautiful temple of Load which is from the 16th century, and other small temples nearby. A lot of people gather here for big Hindu festivals like Rathayata, Kartika Purnima and the Hindu New Year.
