It is 30 km south of Kecskemét. The nearest international airport is in Budapest.

By train edit

It is on the Budapest - Szeged railway line. There are also direct trains to Kiskunhalas, Szentes and Szolnok via Lakitelek.

  • 2 Train Station (Vasútállomás), Kossuth Lajos utca 37 (20 minutes walking west from downtown). Daily 03:15-22:45. Direct trains: - Budapest Nyugati station (hourly, 1 hr 38 min). Szeged (hourly, 51 min).

Kiskunfélegyháza is on the M5 Budapest-Szeged motorway, running to Szolnok, Csongrád and Baja.

Town hall
  • 1 Town hall (Városháza), Kossuth Lajos utca 1 (Szent János térre). Built between 1909 and 1911 in the Art Nouveau style. The attic and gables of the two-storey, representative building with a tower on the southeast corner are decorated with Zsolnay ceramics.  
  • 2 St. Stephen's Parish Church (Szent István-plébániatemplom), Szent István tér 3.. A Neo-Renaissance style church built between 1873 and 1880.  
  • 3 Church of Our Lady of Sarlós (Sarlós Boldogasszony-templom), Béke tér 1. the oldest building in Kiskunfélegyháza. Construction of the Baroque- style parish church began in 1749.  
  • 4 Kiskun Museum, Dr. Holló Lajos út 9. By appointment. A landscape museum and public collection of artefacts related to the local history of Kiskunfélegyháza, the religious monuments of Kiskunság, and the archaeological monuments of the region.

  • Kiskunfélegyháza is great for hikers, as Bugac, the famous spa of Kiskunmajsa, the Tőserdő and Tősfürdő, Ópusztaszer and the Kiskunság National Park are nearby.
