Get in

During summer season, tourist cruise ships often stop at Cambridge Bay, and to lesser extent Kugluktuk. Otherwise, you have to fly in to any of the Kitikmeot communities.

Get around

There are no roads connecting between the communities. You will need to take snowmobile or ATV to go to attractions outside of the hamlet.

Gjoa Haven and Kugaaruk are dry communities. Kugluktuk places purchase limits on alcohol. There is no alcohol restriction in Cambridge Bay and Taloyoak.
