Kuata is an island in the Yasawa Islands of Fiji. The only resort on the island is Kuata Natural Resort run by local village people in Waya lailai.

Get in

Travel on Yasawa Flyer from Denarau Marina. It takes about 2 hours. A small resort boat will come collect you off the Flyer.

Get around

Walking is the only method you would use in this island.

Beautiful ocean view all around. Beautiful coral and colourful fish are plentiful in the water right off the beach. There are two long white sandy beaches on the island, and colourful shells lie on the beach.

Some of the Fijian bures remain.

Whitetip reef shark

The resort offers regular activity such as a trip to the outer reef for reef snorkeling (swim with reef sharks or feed sharks in the ocean), a village visit, sunset fishing, summit walk, kava ceremony. The ladies from other villages come and sell craft items and can teach you how to make a weaving bracelet. Kayaking and summit walk to Waya lailai is also available on request. Beach volleyball net is set up on the beach for your use. Swim, relaxing on the beach, sleep on a hammock, mix with locals and visitors. Professional massage by the beach is also available.

The water right off the beach provides excellent snorkelling. Bring your own gear or hire a set from the resort. Diving trips can be arranged for certified divers.

The resort offers three meals a day plus a 3:30PM coffee break, all included in the price you pay. Each meal is a set meal each time with a variety of food offered each day, including plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Water, soft drinks, beer and mixed spirits are available at the bar. The resort has taps with potable water and many coconut palm trees.
