Home to many refreshing waterfalls and rock streams. There are six jungle trails plus one that leads to the summit of Mount Serapi (a six-hour return trip)

  • Matang Wildlife Centre, +60 82-248 088. It is part of Kubah National Park and is popular with families who picnic by the refreshing rock pools and waterfalls. There are full facilities including toilets and BBQs. There are four relatively easy jungle trails, but the main attraction used to be the Orang Utan Training Centre - where orphaned and rescued orangutans are rehabilitated and taught how to survive in the wild. But after a tourist was bitten by one of these apes they were removed. By December 2006 Matang had no more orangutans. The centre also houses other animals like crocodiles and hornbills in large enclosures.
