La Massana[dead link] lies in the western border parish (administrative division) of the same name and en route to the town of Ordino in Andorra between Andorra La Vella and France.

By car edit

Leaving Andorra La Vella or Escaldes-Engordany, take route CG3 northwards 6km. La Pal is some 7 km further via the CG5, turning left at Erts and passing through Xixerella.

By bus edit

Passengers can take bus line L5 or L6 from Andorra la Vella, Arinsal or Ordino to La Massana. Connecting passengers can use their ticket within one hour to connect to La Massana's bus for free (and vice versa).

By taxi edit

Andy runs private transfers from Barcelona city centre and El Prat airport. Price starts at €279 to La Massana for a 4-passenger sedan (Dec 2023).

Built in the Romanesque style. It is in the old part of La Massana. It is obligatory to reserve beforehand.    
  • 2 Sant Climent de Pal, +376 844 141. July-Aug: daily 10:00-13:00 and 15:00-19:00. The rest of the year only at mass hours. Romanesque church from the 12th century. It is in the village of Pal. An interesting feature to note is the Romanesque Lombard belfry, one of the most interesting in Andorra. It is obligatory to reserve beforehand. Building with a guide service.

The centre of the village is dominated by the cable car system which takes you up to the Pal-Arinsal ski area within about 10 to 15 minutes, making La Massana an ideal location to go skiing from.
