La Punta

Not to be confused with San Giovanni La Punta in Catania, Sicily.

La Punta is the first Argentine city founded in the 21st century. It was founded in March 2003 by the government of the province of San Luis.

Climate

In winter it is cold in the morning especially and in Summer there are cool breezes from the gorges.

By car, it is located 20 km north of San Luis Capital.

La Punta has a complete service structure conformed by hospital, school, police station, university, green spaces, and natural parks.

La Punta has a replica of the historical Cabildo of Buenos Aires, which was built in real scale with the appearance and materials that it had on May 25 1810 and Replica of the house of Tucumán generating a true patriotic journey.

Visit Villa de la Quebrada for those who wish to discover the regional spirit, local beliefs and traditions.

It does not have a variety of dining options but very close, in Potrero de los Funes, you can have access to good restaurants.
