Understand edit

Lake County is one of many Florida counties with numerous medium-sized lakes, and there are towns with lakeshores around many of these. As a consequence, boating and in Lake County's case, even seaplanes are popular here. The population density in the county is low, with most people living in small towns and rural areas, and some of the towns have historic houses and museums. The main tourist destination is Mount Dora, which has an attractive commercial district near Lake Dora.
