Lake Sebu is a town in South Cotabato, also a name of the eponymous lake.

The area surrounding Lake Sebu are inhabited by the indigenous Lumad peoples; they remain the dominant people even after waves of migration of Visayans and Ilocanos.

The town and the lake is surrounded by Allah Valley, a pristine rainforest landscape recognized by UNESCO as a an important cultural region. Tilapia fishing and tourism serve as important sources of local income; the surrounding forest is declared a protected landscape.

Lake Sebu lies about 6 degrees north of the equator, so it can be hot and humid. The town and surrounding area has a rainforest climate, so it can rainy at any time of the day.

The area's nearest airports with commercial are in General Santos (GES IATA) and Cotabato City (CBO IATA). Nearby Surallah has an airport, Allah Valley Airport (Allah Airport), but has no commercial flights due to antiquated infrastructure.

By bus and minivanEdit

  • Lake Sebu Public Transport Terminal, Purok Rosas, Poblacion (Near the Public Market). The municipal central transport terminal, served by UV Express vans.

There are no bus service to Lake Sebu. The nearest bus terminal is in Surallah, where you can catch a UV Express to Lake Sebu. Yellow Bus Lines is the only bus line company serving the Surallah terminal.
