Lawson is near Hazelbrook and Bullaburra on the A32 road between Springwood and Wentworth Falls.

Blue Mountains Transit route 690K runs from Springwood to Katoomba via Lawson railway station.

Lawson is home to many different bushwalking tracks ranging from easy to hard. Bushwalks include Adelina Falls, Cateract Falls and echo bluff. Walkers must stay to tracks and look for cliffs.
