Take the 320 (E651) exit off the A9 (E57).

From the west (Munich - Salzburg area), tolls on Austrian motorways:

  • On the Tauern motorway (A10) via Salzburg in the direction of Graz/Villach until the Ennstal junction (Altenmarkt), then continue for 74 km on the federal road (B146) and via Schladming to Liezen.
  • Alternatively, from Salzburg take the A1 (Westautobahn) towards Vienna to the Voralpenkreuz junction and then the A9 (Pyhrnautobahn) to the "Liezen" exit. From here, continue on the main road for another 5 km to Liezen. An  additional €5.00 tunnel toll is payable for the last section of the motorway (as of 2015).
  • The toll-free route takes you through numerous towns (Salzburg, Bad Ischl) via the Salzkammergut and on the B145.

  • The old town of Liezen is the area with the Ausseer Straße and the church square.
  • The parish church of St. Veit. The western part dates back to the 16th century.

  • 1 City Rock Liezen Climbing Center (Kletterzentrum Liezen), Friedau, 8940 Liezen, +43 3612 24 2 20, . M-F 08:00–22:00, Sa Su 08:00–20:00. The Austrian alpine club Liezen operates the climbing hall, which has 80 routes going 14 m high and a boulder section. They offer courses from beginners on. One first needs to get a card for the entry, beware that the opening hours of the hall and the cash differ as regulars are card holders.

A stopping place to get in your suppliers of food, fuel and sports equipment. In the South and East of the town there is a huge shopping area with all kinds of markets.
